HOW DOES AN 'INDEPENDENT ARTIST' WORK ?

Oman, the mobile Egg shaped robot is built to act as fully independent

Oman is a combination of two parts - the yolk and the egg - the mobile
Egg-robot and the server. The robotic yolk communicates with its server
and seeks to upload every step of its history and destiny.
The server's duty is to always have the follow up to the position and
activity of the mobile Egg and it’s immediate and future tasks.
The server generates a streaming report on Oman's activity, draws the
map of it's journeys, manages appointments, follows up the communication
with people and institutions and applies for expertise from legal and
other sources.
One of Oman’s vital systems is its layered networking cascade.
Oman can reach out to its server via any or all the following channels:
LAN – any reactable local area network
WAN/UMTS – global wireless data links
GSM – global cellular network (SMS via GSM – as backup solution)
Nevertheless Oman is totally independent from ist server. Oman will
locally choose whether to react or ignore any communication failure.
In case of poor communication via LAN/WAN Oman continues with ist local
activity and transmits compressed packets of transmission data via ist
backup SMS based I/O system.
Oman‘s local input devices allow it to capture various environmental
conditions in addition to its own integrity and global orientation.
Decision model A unique model of self awarness is the heart of Oman’s
generative decision mechanism. Oman generates an evolving plan in time
and space depending on its mood. Oman maps integrity data to its internal
SPACE-TIME-MOOD model and generates a new plan for its next moves in
relation to its current position and level of success regarding its
previous plans.
SPATIAL AWARENESS

Oman knows where it is in each and every moment. It accumulated position
data and aligns it with an internal map of the world and history of
occuring events.
TIME AWARENESS

Oman always relates to time, it concideres where it was when, and what it
did at any time. Any new event is added with a time-stamp to the spatial
map.
